Unleash A bird inside a cage forgets how to fly, a dolphin inside a pool forgets how to dive, a lion inside a Zoo forgets how to hunt, a human without freedom of expression forgets how to live.

The weekend passed and with it the opening of the current exhibition that is still on show till the 16th of July at the “Razzett Tal Markiz Mallia Tabone” in Mosta.

My world is an exhibition that emerged from a question,  that set me thinking about why do I do what I do through photography.  Going back through images and instances that have passed through my camera’s sensor I realize how my mood and my feelings were somehow transformed into images.

And it is incredible how sometimes there are things in life that we do, and without knowing exactly why we do them.

The opening that was held on Saturday 2nd July by the curator and artist himself Henry Alamango went by through the cool evening accompanied by those present who could enjoy the views and the niceties of the gallery itself.

Thanks to all who somehow contributed for this wonderful evening.

The Flow

The Last Drop

The earth garden being held at the national park in ta’ Qali next weekend will host some great artistic expressions with one subject at heart, “Water cycle”.
I will be exhibiting three photographic expressions about the natural aspects of water and the various impacts it has on life around us. I kept in mind the different means of use and also observed the spiritual aspect of water not only as a source of life but also as a purifier of the soul.

“ I sat down and looked at the flow of water, how it went around obstacles, how it dropped from heights and how it balanced on sharp edges.  simply looking at this gave me the impression of stopping time, at least for that moment”.  Whilst working on this project I realised that the real essence of water is not only about  cleansing and the satisfaction of thirst, but also the mental flow of thoughts.  My equipment stood there, inactive for some time, until I realised that I had some work to do.  I got so connected that I forgot why I was there in the first place.”
These exhibits will be on display in the arts square on the 4th and 5th of June at the National Park in Ta’ Qali.

I came back here to see you after all this time, only to find the sand you may have played upon and nothing more than the infinity of the sea beforth me.  With a handful of excuses in my pocket I remain silent, for nowhere to be seen is your soft skinned face, your smile, that I have never seen.

My second pocket holding another handful of plans and wishes that now fly away like the sand I rest upon.

Questions that roll through my mind like these waves upon the beach, unable to bring with them reasons why your presence today is not here.  I cry softly even though I know that I can lay a thousand rivers,   your presence will not be seen.  So I rest alone on this sandy beach, wondering how you would have been if you would have made it to this world.

Whilst observing the erratic movements of fire, I thought about the destructive effect of fire but at the same time the amount of energy exerted both physical and inspirational.  After all it was just burning wood but the aura was incredibly inspiring.

Early morning there was nothing left accept a thin carpet of ashes.  The energy transfer absorbed resulted in the following images.
