Strada Levante - € 185.00

Another great step forward for me and my country.

“La Capitale in Chiaroscuro” goes to Italy for a ten day exhibition in Valle Di Ledro, Lago di Garda. It was a target that I wanted to reach before the end of year to take an exhibit off our shores, even further than Gozo :-) . With a helping hand from Kevin Casha I managed to make this a reality.

The exhibition will be open for the public from the 23rd of August and ends on the 30 of August between 19:30 and 22:30. The inauguration being held on 23rd of August at 1700 hours.

This is a big step not only for myself, but also for portraying our capital city off the limits of Malta. This collective exhibition with another local photographer is being held in the Sala consigliare di Mezzolago.

I also want to thank the Circolo Fotoamatori Valle di Ledro for giving me this great opportunity to share this collection also in Lago di Garda.

More info about the exhibits

Thank you for all those who managed to visit this exhibition whilst resident at the trattoria Omerta in Valletta.

Tell Me Why

“All’s well that ends well”

The Notte Bianca 2009 event was a definite success with so many visitors both local and foreign. I would like to thank all those who visited my exhibit “Reflections”. It is always very satisfying to see the appreciation of the viewers and also inherit their most welcomed feedback.

“Reflections” is a collection of photographs depicting the reality of a reflection in a mirror, a puddle of water, a spoon, compared with the reflection of our lives that takes the form of meditation or contemplation. The two merged together to give the viewer a wider perspective of those moments in life where we are alone, just you and yourself.

I would like to thank the organizers of the Notte Bianca event that has given life to the city of Valletta and once again proved to be a success.

Reflecting the past

For another year the Notte Bianca 2009 event will be held in Valletta on the 3rd of October, all through the night till early morning.  The event will give an opportunity to the local artists to portray their works and share their inspirations with the general public.  On this event most cultural and historical places will be open for public including the Casino Maltese originally called “Casa Del Commun Tesoro”, meaning the house of the national treasury.

Once again this year I will be exhibiting some of my photographic work at the Casino Maltese in Republic Street Valletta.  Item 44 on the official Notte Bianca 2009 program is the exhibition “Reflections”, between reality and thought.  An exhibition that brings together common reflections with ones that occur through meditation and thought.

You can visit the exhibition from 18:00 to 02:00.

Another exhibition that is currently on display “La Capitale In Chiaroscuro” will also be open for public at the Trattoria Omerta. Twenty one images, in black and white, all about the capital city of Malta, Valletta.  For further information about this exhibition please click here.

Your visit to the exhibition would be highly appreciated.

A photographic exhibition about the hidden treasures of Valletta.

All 21 photographs in this exhibition focus on the areas in Valletta that are usually full of activity and hectic during the day but calm down during the night. And here is where the magnificence of this city lushes out in silence. When I was a kid I used to run from one street to another with my grandparents and wondered who had ever built such a fortress, such a place that looked boundless to me those days.

During most of my visits to this city I discovered her hidden secrets of the past, the strongholds that kept Valletta what it is today. In due course I also discovered that time has not spared her lusciousness, her strength, and there is where I wanted to contribute. I wanted to bring out what many might ignore during the day, the architecture that has survived several years, the many facets that the city still enjoys.

The exhibition is being held at:

Omerta Trattoria & Wine Bar

92, Old Bakery Street,

Valletta

Very close to the school of Art
